The launch began with a discussion chaired by Alan Kolski Horwitz of Botsotso Publishing about “this thing called flash fiction” which is beginning to enter our vocabulary. And Liesl’s 100 Papers will certainly help it make its mark.
Liesl read a short piece – obviously! – one most suited to the idea of “flash” which Horwitz had spoken about, called “Parrot Syllabus”, throughout which giggles from the audience could be heard – which quickly transformed into applause.
Quote of the hour: “The rhythm of short fiction is poetic”
