Hugh Hodge's Slug Award
Alert! Hugh Hodge received a Slug Award from Gus Ferguson at the launch of Karapaks 6 last night for his “selfless enthusiasm for and promotion of other poets and poetry”.
Hodge, who is wearing the medal he received in the picture here, is a poet; the editor of New Contrast magazine; and the convener of what is probably the country’s longest-running weekly poetry gathering, Off-the-Wall.
