Among the publishers, there’s a three-way tie for most shortlist placings: Random House Struik, Penguin and Jonathan Ball each have two books among the ten titles. Modjaji, Kwela, Picador Africa and Wild Dog Press make up the rest. The winners will be announced in early August in Johannesburg. Pics from the announcement function:

    Well done, all. Hard to choose a winner from such an august line-up. If Andrew Brown wins, won't he be the first writer to have won both the fiction and non-fiction ST awards? I'd be pleased if any of these won, but maybe, just maybe Peter Harris would be my choice...
