Caine Prize for African Writing 10th Anniversary Tour… in the UK

10 Years of the Caine Prize for African WritingWork in Progress and Other StoriesJambula Tree and Other StoriesJungfrau and Other StoriesAlert! The Caine Prize for African Writing turned ten this year, and to celebrate, its organisers have, with some fanfare, put together a seven-stop tour featuring several Caine Prize winners – which doubles as a series of book launches for the new collection that compiles all the winning stories (and folds in stories by Achebe, Coetzee, Gordimer and Okri to boot), 10 Years of the Caine Prize for African Writing – …in the UK.

BOOK SA awaits the news of the seven-stop, continent-wide Africa tour with great anticipation. Meanwhile, here are the UK events. (Does it strike only me as funny that Mary Watson doesn’t feature? She lives up yonder now.)

Not sure about the other six stops, but first stop of the African tour will be at The Book Lounge on Wednesday 28 October as Henrietta and Mary join us to celebrate the 10th anniversary publication. Looking forward to a lovely evening.
