Podcasts: BBC Profiles Caine Prize Shortlistees (Plus: Diarise 10 July for Southbank Centre Readings)
The 2011 Caine Prize for African Writing shortlistees will be reading from their work at an event held at the Southbank Centre as part of the London Literature Festival. This event takes place on the 10th of July, the night before the winner of the £10 000 prize is announced.
The shortlisted authors are David Medalie (“The Mistress’s Dog”), Lauri Kubuitsile (“In the spirit of McPhineas Lata”), Tim Keegan (“What Molly Knew”), Beatrice Lamwaka (“Butterfly Dreams”) and NoViolet Bulawayo (“Hitting Budapest”).
