In a nutshell?
It tells the story of a young woman named Rebecca who marries her university sweetheart. Ten years on, tragedy strikes and she ends up back in her home town.
Why read it?
So much women’s fiction is underestimated. There are writers – Marian Keyes is the queen and Alice Peterson, Lisa Jewell, Jojo Moyes and others, writing more challenging work. This book dealt with some serious issues with warmth and depth.
