The book is a no-nonsense and gimmick-free publication, with beautiful and unfussy photography by Michael le Grange and concise and lively words by Hobbs. She’s a straight-talking, keep-it-simple and accurate foodie and writer, respected for her integrity and meticulousness. Her food is all about flavour and satisfaction, and you’ll encounter no half-cream, low-fat corner-cutting claptrap here.
