Discussion on “Beyond the Cities: The Platteland in South African Literature” to Be Held at the Goethe Institut

The Long Way Home: A Journey Through South AfricaHandsome JitaSmoke of ForgivenessThe Goethe Institut will be holding a discussion with Nelson Tshabalala, who wrote Smoke of Forgiveness, Dana Snyman, author of The Long Way Home, and the poet Vonani Bila, whose works include Handsome Jita.

The talk is titled “Beyond the Cities – The Platteland in South African Literature” and is part of the Goethe Institut’s New South African Voices series.

The talk will be held on October 23 and will be moderated by Raks Seakhoa and Indra Wussow.
