Video: Nii Ayikwei Parkes Performs at Poetry Africa in Harare
Nii Ayikwei Parkes, the Ghanaian author of Tail of the Blue Bird, was a key performer at this year’s Poetry Africa event, not only in Cape Town and Durban, but also at the satellite event in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Parkes is one of the organisers of the African Book Festival taking place on 26 and 27 October in London. The keynote address will be given by Abdulrazak Gurnah, with Aminatta Forna also in attendance.
