Deon Meyer’s Thirteen Hours Shortlisted for the Crimezone Thriller Awards 2012

Alert! Deon Meyer’s Thirteen Hours has been shortlisted for the Dutch Crimezone Thriller Awards 2012 in the category for translated works. It is up against five other books and the winners will be announced at the Crimezone Awards Ceremony in Amsterdam on 6 February 2013.

This book has been racking up the awards for the last couple of years, including winning the Boeke Prize Fanatics Choice Award and a Barry Award for Best Thriller last year. It also won the M-Net Award in the Film Category in 2009 and is now being made into a film starring Sean Bean of Game of Thrones fame.

The shortlists for the 10th edition of the Crimezone Best Thriller election are complete. From 10 December there can be voted on the 18 nominated titles in 3 categories: Dutch original, Translated and Debut. The Crimezone Award Ceremonies find place on the 6th of Februari, 2013 in Amsterdam.
