What are you reading?
Nothing that I’m proud of. Imperfect Justice by Jeff Ashton and Lisa Pulitzer.
In a nutshell?
Jeff Ashton was the prosecutor in the Casey Anthony trial in Florida, US, in 2011. It was a case that captivated the entire country.
I watched the trial religiously, and was utterly riveted by the accusations that this woman killed her three-year-old daughter, and the depth to which she allegedly lied to cover it up.
The book tells the story behind the state’s failed prosecution.
Why read it?
If you have any interest in human psychology, the good and bad of it, then this is one to read.
Anthony appears to be a textbook sociopath.
As someone who reads a lot of stories about people who are wrongfully accused, it is quite something to read a story about a woman who seems so obviously guilty of the worst crime imaginable and is still walking the streets with you and me.
