An Unnatural History: Hedley Twidle Reviews Henrietta Rose-Innes' Green Lion

Margaret von Klemperer Reviews Napoleon Bones by Jenny Hobbs

Napoleon BonesVerdict: carrot

JENNY Hobbs defies categorisation as a novelist. In 1989, her Thoughts in a Makeshift Mortuary (which is due to be reissued next year) was a serious and heartbreaking piece of fiction.
Her last novel before this one, The Miracle of Crocodile Flats, was a lively piece of affectionate satire taking on wacky religions, corruption and all places in-between.
