Magic, With Contribution by Sarah Lotz, Wins 2013 British Fantasy Award for Best Anthology

Magic: An Anthology of the Esoteric and ArcaneAler! Magic: An Anthology of the Esoteric and Arcane, edited by Jonathan Oliver, and which contains a short story by Sarah Lotz, has won the 2013 British Fantasy Award for Best Anthology.

Lotz’s story “If I Die, Kill My Cat” is included in the book along with contributions by writers such as Audrey Niffenegger, author of The Time Traveller’s Wife. SA Partridge pointed out the South African connection to this British award on Twitter:

The winners of the British Fantasy Awards were announced on Sunday at the awards banquet at the World Fantasy Convention in Brighton. Best Fantasy Novel was won by Graham Joyce for Some Kind of Fairy Tale, and Last Days by Adam Nevill received the award for Best Horror Novel.
