    Gorgeous. STRAY gets my vote (I'm biased), followed by A Slim Green Silence, which gets points for the interplay between book and cover. Other beaut covers this year: The Seed Thief (delicate, subtle, tea-stained); and for poetry collections, I really liked A Saving Bannister and Homegrown (both Modjaji). And then the covers for Flame In The Snow/ Vlam in die Sneeu (correspondence between Ingrid Jonker and Andre Brink), with their especially commissioned artwork, look stunning.

    Such a fine crop to enjoy! It's great to see the cover designers being lauded. I also loved the covers of Glowfly Dance and Tribe.
