Authors and oysters: two delights that guests attending the annual Knysna Literary Festival can definitely expect.
Celebrating its eighth year, the Knysna Literary Festival (taking place from 16 – 19 March), is the Garden Route’s only annual festival that hosts an exclusive group of local authors.
Its popularity is growing by the year, with attendance having doubled in the past two years.
With a line-up including Fred Khumalo, Moeletsi Mbeki, Don Pinnock, Anastacia Tomson, and Pieter-Dirk Uys (to name a few) it comes as no surprise that this yearly celebration of writers, books, and all things literary is growing.
Besides literary discussions by some of the country’s foremost authors, the festival’s Youth Day Programme caters for budding bibliophiles. A Creative Writing/Interactive Poetry Workshop will be presented by Sonja Kruse, for those who are eager to follow in their literary hero’s (and heroines!) print-steps.
